Ho Weng Yew

Introduction

Hello, I am a web/app developer and game programmer!

I am able to code in C++, C#, HTML, CSS, Typescript, and Python. I worked most with the Unity Engine and Microsoft Visual Studio 2015 during my degree course.

Currently, I am working with Passion Republic Games as a game programmer. I am acting as the programming lead for the GigaBash team. We are currently working on creating additional content and improving the existing features in the game.

I previously worked with Collective Intelligence Sdn Bhd as their web & app developer. I have created multiple projects for various clients including Maybank, Kasih Hospice Foundation, and High Castle Studio. I have also been employed at Cellar Vault Games as their game programmer. I joined them back in April 2018 and we have since developed two projects, The Long Road Ahead and The Spookey Sugary Saloon, which are both available for free on the Cellar Vault Games itch.io page.

Outside of game development, I am passionate about classical guitar, and have a Level 4 Diploma in Music Performance (ATCL) and Grade 8 Theory of Music qualifications from the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM). I have also been teaching classical guitar in a number of music schools since 2019. 

During my free time, I love playing badminton, meeting new people, and enjoying good food.

Though I majored in Game Technology/Programming, I have become familiar with the process of building web and mobile apps.
