Hello, I am a game programmer!
I am able to code in C++, and am more familiar with C#. I often work with the Unity Engine and Microsoft Visual Studio 2015.
During my free time, I love working on side projects, playing video games, and playing the classical guitar. I also have a Grade 8 Guitar and Grade 8 Theory of Music qualifications from The Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music
I am most confident in making platformers and endless runners, and am always ready to take on new challenges in making game that are not related to these two genres!
Although I am a major in Game Technology/Programming, I plan to learn about Game Design and become a Game Designer in the future.
This was worked on for two semesters (eight months) by only two programmers. Both of us learned a lot from our lecturers and friends as we had to fulfill many roles by ourselves such as designing the stage, modeling the character and the enemy, and particle systems. My team was focused on creating the best experience possible for the player, thus a lot of testing was involved and we went through 148 iterations before we had our final version.
Enfagrow A+ Mental and Emotional Challenge
One month project given by Enfagrow. I was given the opportunity to work on the project by Collective Intelligence Sdn. Bhd. I was tasked to code the base game and implement art assets throughout the duration of this project.
Neo Gun Combat
We were more comfortable working as a team, as we were going with the same team that made Ping. We tried implementing more advanced mechanics, such as using the sine wave to calculate the trajectory of the bullets. It was a very smooth sailing project and we had quite a bit of extra time to polish up the game.
This project was absolutely fun to work on! There were only very few moments when my team ran into problems during the process of making this game. I was tasked to work on the top half of the game (where the players bump into each other while trying to get close to the WiFi) and simulating lag for Pong. With proper planning and excellent execution, we were even able to go out for meals and head home to sleep during the game jam! (the game jam lasted for only 24 hours)
We had many complications when working on this project due to it being the first time we worked in such a big group, as far as I am aware. I mainly worked on all the characters' movement and targeting systems. Even with many complications, we were able to pull through thanks to our Lead Programmer!
My team had a little trouble starting off with this project as most of us had no previous experience working in a group project. I worked mostly on the main character (attacks, movement, skills, tutorial). We managed to stabilise towards the end and though unstable, the game was completed. Later on, I personally did a few bug fixes and balanced the boss' damage in the second stage.
